Originally from Provincetown, Massachusetts, one of the oldest art colonies in the U.S., and the birthplace of American Theater, James J. Roderick received his training at the Art Institute of Boston and studied the Art of Fresco at the Castle Hill Art School in Truro, MA. He is currently based in Colorado and New Mexico. His skills lend themselves to any mode of painting, but his style is uniquely his own. Almost a visual presentation of the Latin "magic realism," his work has been described by one critic as "classic surrealism." James Joseph Roderick
